A Poetic Thread to Ponder: I've Been the Extremes

I've been the extremes, seen the highs and the lows,

been to the depths and the outskirts,

walked the desert and the snow covered mountains.

I've laughed, cried, died and resurrected.

Pain has pierced my soul, and love has brought me to my knees.

I have stood to the left and I have stood to the right.

I have roamed both the darkness and the light.

I have felt the thirst and I have been completely satisfied.

I've been full and I've been empty, I've gained and I've lost.

The pendulum has swung from one end to the other

adjusting my rhythm, molding my Self, and centering the axis of my heart.

Today I can see this climate of extremes has tempered my Being

and the seat of my soul more easily centers within the eye of the storm.

So it is with life.

With the Ages of time ticking back-and-forth

adjusting our inner tones and bringing us into alignment with the Divine.
